CLIKIS and Healthy Meal Standard CHEF’S ACADEMY is an education for culinary staff of primary schools in the City of Sisak, which took place on March 19, 2022, at the Braće Bobetko Elementary School.
At CLIKIS and Healthy Meal Standard Academy for Culinary Workers, several theoretical trainings were held, which included previous CLIKIS activities in primary schools, expert review of electricity consumption measurements and information on how to make climate-sustainable meals. The welcome speech was given by the principal Karolina Čutuk, and after that the practical part of the academy started, where the primary schools randomly chose a climate-sustainable meal to prepare. The academy took the form of education and competitions within knowledge and the best culinary preparation, where the best primary schools in terms of gastronomy and nutrition won valuable awards in the form of small kitchen appliances. All primary school employees who participated in the training also received certificates of participation. The elementary schools that have prepared the best meals and share first place in the competition are
- Elementary school 22.Lipnja: Kristina Tominac & Bojan Pavlić with the meal „PASTA WITH BEANS AND VEGETABLES, GREEN SALAD and TANGERINE” and
- Elementary school Galdovo: Senka Vuković & Dijana Šipuš with the meal „BEAN AND VEGETABLE STEW AND COOKIE CAKE WITH PLUM“.
People engaged in giving a score for the meals are: Branimir Spajić, CLIKIS project manager, Diana Gluhak Spajić, Healthy Meal Standard manager Sisak, Patricija Kreš, nutritionist and CLIKIS project associate, Ana Stuparić, professional chef for the CLIKIS project, Ana Knežević PR expert for CLIKIS project and Mirna Brnad, host and head chef of the Braća Bobetko Elementary School.
The CLIKIS project aims to develop climate-sustained kitchens through comprehensive measurement of energy consumption, and in cooperation with German partners as project leaders to calculate the climate footprint of meals offered on the menus of Sisak primary schools. The ultimate goal is the development of strategic guidelines for climate-balanced meals in primary schools in the City of Sisak.

The Academy is fully financially supported by the EUKI project CLIKIS, in which Germany, Estonia and Croatia are partners in this funding cycle. In Croatia, the project leader is the company RED FORK for research and development in biotechnology, and the main partner in the activities is the City of Sisak, together with all primary schools.
